A good WordPress hosting can take your blog to the next level, which Bluehost is doing with all its two million customers.
In this article, I am sharing my experience with Bluehost hosting.
Why I choose Bluehost?
Initially, My blog was hosted on Dreamhost web hosting for one year, and it was a great experience with it. If you see the pricing of Dreamhost, it starts at $10.95/month, which is not affordable for the beginners.
Dreamhost has a huge discount for first users, you will get a coupon code but after one year they will charge you the default pricing.
As a beginner, I didn’t have the money to invest in my blog so I was searching for cheap WordPress hosting.
Now you will ask me, why I have started my blog on Dreamhost?
When I have moved my blog to self-hosted web WordPress, I got a coupon code for Dreamhost for a 97% discount which was a huge discount I ever got. I decided to host my blog for one year on Dreamhost, and later on, I will migrate to the new hosting.
After one year, I have searched a lot of WordPress hosting services, and I came with the Bluehost because of its performance. Also, the pricing of the Bluehost starts from the $2.95/month which I can afford.
I have migrated my blog to Bluehost basic plan for $3.95/month. This is a recommended plan for beginners and if you have multiple blogs then you can go for Bluehost plus plan. If you think that you are getting more traffic and so does the bandwidth then you can upgrade your plan at any time.
If you see the shared hosting plans, it starts from the $3.95, but on special occasions like black Friday, you will get it at $2.95, so I would suggest you wait for the day. You will have three choices with Bluehost
Basic($3.95/month)- This is recommended for beginners having one blog. You can host one blog with 50 GB website space.
Plus($5.95/month)– If you have multiple blogs then you can go for it. In this plan, you will get all features unlimited.
Prime($5.95/month)– This is similar to plus plan but it includes some extra features like spam protection, site backup, etc.
One thing which I most like about Bluehost hosting is that their support team. They have hired very talented people for supporting users. Mostly I use Live chat support to get a quick solution. I have contacted them a few times, and they have solved my issue and explained it very well.
Why I have called customer support
- How to configure a mail client to mobile and Outlook?
- I wanted to upgrade my plan to host more websites, so I contacted them.
- To know more offers from the Bluehost support team
- To get a better plan which is suitable for my blog
Overall I am delighted with the Bluehost support team.
I loved the Bluehost Cpanel, you can easily understand it. For the beginner, it is very useful to know about the navigations about hosting.
Below is the screenshot of Bluehost CPanel, you can see everything is organized very well. Even the beginner will get understood easily.
In Bluehost Cpanel you will get a File Manager, so you won’t need to open the FileZilla each time. You can upload and download the file from Cpanel itself.
All the applications are categorized into sections like email, marketing, SEO, etc. so that you would able to find it.
- User-friendly Cpanel anyone will understand.
- Excellent support on call as well as live chat.
- Very cheapest web hosting that anyone can afford.
- Plans starting from $2.95/month
- Recommended by WordPress.
- Thirty days of the money-back guarantee.
Overall I was very satisfied with the Bluehost hosting and support team. The only reason why I moved to Vultr VPS is the renewal price of Bluehost. It is more than $10 per month for the basic plan, so a beginner will not afford it.
Every hosting provider increases its renewal charges. I have written an article about the renewal pricing of web hosting. If you read the article, I have mentioned a few hosting renewal pricing.
For the beginner, I would highly recommend going for Bluehost’s basic plan and start your blogging journey.
