Monitor Traffic Reports In MonsterInsights
Google Analytics is quite confusing for a beginner, if you have experience in monitoring the website traffic report then you can go for Google Analytics.
If you are a beginner then I would recommend you to use the MonsterInsights WordPress plugin. It is very easy to configure the MonsterInsights plugin with your Google Analytics account.
The first step is to install and activate the MonsterInsights plugin.
NOTE- MonsterInsights is a free WordPress plugin, but if you want more features then you can upgrade it to the premium version.
Overview Report
Once installed, you can check the overview traffic report in your WordPress dashboard. Navigate to Insights » Reports » Overview.
In the overview report, you can see the top 10 countries from where you are getting traffic. By looking at this, you can create different campaigns to promote your website in other countries.

Along with the Top 10 countries, you will get the Device Breakdown report. You can check on which device type your website has more visitors.

You can check the Top 10 Referrals report on the same page, it will show you from where you are getting traffic.
Search Console Report
If you want to know which keywords are being used to search your website, then MonsterInsights offers you a search console report. This is very similar to Google Search Console, you can check the top 50 keywords used to reach your website.
You can also check the click-through rate and average position for that keyword.

You can take the reference of these keywords and find more related keywords and optimize your new articles.
eCommerce Report
If you have an eCommerce website and want to know from where you are getting more sales or leads then the MonsterInsights eCommerce report will provide you all the details about sales.
You can see the Top Conversion Sources for the eCommerce website. It will show you the number of visits and revenue generated from particular sources.

Real-Time Report
If you want to monitor your website’s real-time visitors then you can navigate to the real-time section and there you can see the city, state, country, and the count of visitors.

Monitor Website Traffic In Google Analytics
MonsterInsights is sufficient to know about your visitors, you can easily monitor the website traffic in the WordPress dashboard itself.
If you want to know more about visitors then you can check it in Google Analytics. It will give you more insights into your visitors.
Once you log in to your Google Analytics navigate to Acquisition » All Traffic » Channels. In this report, you will get the traffic sources like direct, referral, social, etc.

If you want a more detailed report, then click on Source/Medium then it will narrow down the source of your traffic along with the channel.

If you want to know the source for specific pages then you can navigate to Behavior » Site Content. You can choose traffic sources for all website pages, landing pages, etc.
Also, you can use the Secondary Dimension and search for Source/Medium. In this way, you can check the traffic sources for specific pages of your website.
