Email Marketing is the best way to promote our products and services. Therefore, there are high chances of getting more sales in email marketing. There are many email marketing services available like ActiveCampaign, Mailchimp, etc.
Here, we will talk about ActiveCampaign. It is more than an email marketing tool.
ActiveCampaign is a marketing automation tool that lets you interact with the customers and send newsletters targeted to each contact’s interests.
WPForms allow us to integrate the ActiveCampaign with the help of the Zapier addon. You can create and embed the WordPress form using this addon.
Let’s learn how we can integrate the ActiveCampaign with WPForms using the Zapier addon.
Installation and create the form.
To start with the WPForms, you need to install and activate the WPForms WordPress plugin.
Once you install the plugin, you have to create a Newsletter form. After that, you can use the predefined template for your convenience. Otherwise, you can refer to the below tutorial for the same.
Zapier Addon
To create the high-converting ActiveCampaign form, we have to install the Zapier addon of WPForms. The Zapier addon lets you connect the WPForms plugin to over 1,500+ web apps.
To install the Zapier addon, go to WPForms » Addon and search for the Zapier. Install the addon.
NOTE- To install the Zapier addon, we have to buy the WPForms premium.
Connect WPForms to Zapier
Now, we have to let Zapier talk with WPForms. To do that, we have to connect the Zapier with WPForms.
Log in to your Zapier account and click the Make a Zap button.
You will see the zap setup screen. You can give the name of your zap and click next.
You will have to Choose a Trigger App, search for the WPForms, choose the WPForms, and click next.
On the next screen, you will see the trigger option. Since WPForms only has one trigger option (“New Form Entry”), you can select it and click Save+Continue.
Next, connect Zapier+WPForms, click on the connect an account.
Here, you will need to add your website address and the API key.
Enter your website address with include the trailing slash (ie: https://scrollbucks.com/).
For the API key, Go to WPForms » Settings » Integration and open the Zapier, you can open this in a new tab to make it simpler.
Here, you will see the API key, copy the API key and paste it.
Click on the continue.
This is how we can connect the Zapier with WPForms.
Test Connection (WPForms+Zapier)
In order to check the connection click on the test button.
After few seconds, you will get the success message.
Now, your connection is successful. Then, you can click on Save+Continue.
Choose a form
On the next screen, you will have to choose the forms in which you have to use this zap. Zapier will pull all the forms you created in WPForms (for this tutorial, we have created the newsletter form in the first step).
Choose the Newsletter form which we have created and click Continue.
Action App in Zapier
In the next step, Zapier will ask you to choose an action app.
Search for the ActiveCampaign and select it and click on the next.
You will ask for ActiveCampaign action, we are going to add the new subscriber to your ActiveCampaign list, so we can select Create/Update Contact and then, click Continue.
Connect ActiveCampaign to Zapier
In the next step, you will have to connect ActiveCampaign with Zapier, this is the same as how we connected the WPForms with Zapier.
Click on the connect an Account. Here, you will put the API URL and API Key for the ActiveCampaign account.
You will get both the keys in the ActiveCampaign account. Go to My Settings » Developer, copy both the keys and paste here.
Click on the Continue.
Field mapping (WPForms to ActiveCampaign )
You will ask to set up ActiveCampaign contact. Here it would be best if you mapped the newsletter forms fields we have created in the first step to the ActiveCampaign field.
Choose the list and map the fields and click Continue.
You can test your integration by clicking Test. In addition, you can verify the data by going to the ActiveCampaign account and click the contact tab.
Turn on Zap
In the last step, you will have to turn on the zap and give it a name.
That’s it.
This is how you can connect the WPForms to the ActiveCampaign with the help of the Zapier addon.
Whenever the new entry has been submitted to forms, it will automatically save it to ActiveCampaign contacts. We can use these email contacts for our email marketing purpose.
